Beauty rest is my favorite pastime. Until recently when I started working at night. How can I rest if I am working at night? Aside from my shift schedule, I also found out that my eating habit is a big factor too. One should not eat at least five hours before going to bed. Munching your way to sleep can only make you wide awake as your stomach will be so busy grinding all that food you have eaten. Worse, you might be going to bed with a bloated stomach and that can’t be good for your body. This might be an exaggeration but, your body posture will not be good since you will keep on tumbling around the bed. If eating should be avoided, this also means that drinking is too. However, it is just a no-no before going to sleep though. Well, study shows that drinking mil will help you go to sleep, it should be noted however, that this should be done two to three hours before going to sleep.
As I said, sleep is as important as work itself. That said, everyone must try to make time doing so. It energizes you throughout the day and this allows your body to repair damaged cells. But the real issue is not about people getting some sleep because at some point, those insomniacs are bound to just close their eyes. This is about getting a good night’s sleep. All these things are simple to follow, but it is always up to you if you have the discipline to get to it.
